DRAMA – Dzimirsky Realism Art Master Atelier
1. About DRAMA
DRAMA is the online Atelier of hyperrealist artist Dirk Dzimirsky, dedicated to the study of realistic and hyperrealistic drawing through the Dzimirsky Drawing Method.
The Atelier provides structured education in graphite and charcoal drawing through progressive lessons, practical exercises, assignments, individual feedback, live Study Classes, and guided artistic projects.
DRAMA is designed as an environment for ongoing artistic study rather than an unrestricted collection of online courses.
The objective is to help students develop their drawing skills, artistic understanding, and individual creative expression.
DRAMA does not provide vocational training or a professional qualification.
2. Enrollment
Enrollment begins with a one-month introductory period at a reduced tuition rate of €129.
During this period, students can begin their studies, complete assignments, receive personal feedback, and experience the Atelier's educational approach.
Students may cancel their enrollment at any time before the introductory month ends, without entering the subsequent regular study term.
Unless cancelled, enrollment automatically continues into an initial 12-month regular study term at €249 per month.
The regular study term is designed to provide a structured period of artistic development. Students retain all applicable statutory cancellation rights, as described in Section 8.
Enrollment may continue beyond the initial study term under the renewal conditions described below.
The introductory period is paid and is not a free trial.
3. Curriculum Structure
DRAMA offers structured learning paths in graphite and charcoal drawing, each divided into four progressive levels.
Students advance by completing assignments and demonstrating an understanding of the principles and techniques taught.
Access to advanced training may be released progressively as students complete the required work.
Upon enrollment, students receive an individual study roadmap based on their previous experience, current drawing abilities, and artistic goals.
Experienced artists may begin at a more advanced level following an assessment of their existing skills.
As students progress, they are encouraged to apply their knowledge to their own artistic projects.
4. Student Expectations
DRAMA is designed for students committed to regular practice and artistic development.
Students are expected to practise consistently, complete assignments carefully, submit their own work for review, apply feedback, and repeat exercises or assignments where necessary.
Students are encouraged to follow their recommended study roadmap.
There is no fixed minimum number of weekly practice hours.
Advancement through the curriculum is based on demonstrated understanding and ability rather than time spent enrolled in the Atelier.
5. Individual Feedback
Individual feedback is an integral part of studying at DRAMA.
Students submit completed assignments for review by DRAMA instructors.
Feedback identifies demonstrated skills, areas requiring improvement, and recommended next steps.
Students may be asked to revise and resubmit assignments before progressing to more advanced training.
Students may also receive feedback on their personal drawing projects, either in writing or during live feedback sessions.
Feedback represents educational guidance based on the professional judgment of Dirk Dzimirsky and the DRAMA teaching team.
Students remain responsible for applying the guidance they receive through independent practice.
6. Live Study Classes and Atelier Activities
DRAMA provides scheduled live Study Classes and feedback sessions to support the curriculum.
These sessions may include drawing demonstrations, assignment reviews, individual critiques, discussions of drawing techniques, and opportunities to ask questions.
Study Classes are intended to complement the structured curriculum rather than replace independent study.
Live Study Classes are normally recorded and made available to enrolled students.
The schedule and format of live sessions may change as the Atelier develops, provided that the agreed educational services are not materially diminished.
Separate workshops, standalone masterclasses, and individual mentoring programs are not included in regular enrollment unless explicitly stated otherwise.
7. Atelier Development
DRAMA is an evolving educational Atelier.
Lessons, assignments, demonstrations, educational resources, and other learning materials may be added, updated, reorganized, or replaced to improve the quality of instruction.
Such changes form part of the normal development of the Atelier.
Changes will be made in accordance with applicable law and must not unjustifiably diminish the educational services agreed upon at enrollment.
8. Tuition, Renewals and Cancellation
8.1 Introductory Month
The introductory month costs €129.
Students may cancel their enrollment at any time before the introductory month ends.
Cancellation during this period prevents enrollment from continuing into the regular 12-month study term.
Access to the Atelier normally remains available until the end of the paid introductory month.
Cancellation of the introductory month does not automatically entitle the student to a refund. The separate statutory withdrawal rights described in Section 9 remain unaffected.
8.2 Regular Tuition
After the introductory month, regular tuition is €249 per month.
The initial regular study term is designed to last 12 months.
Tuition is charged in monthly installments.
Depending on the student's country, payments may be processed in a local currency and include applicable taxes.
The final price, currency, and payment schedule are displayed during checkout.
8.3 Cancellation During the Regular Study Term
Where the German Distance Learning Protection Act (Fernunterrichtsschutzgesetz, FernUSG) applies, students have the following statutory cancellation rights under § 5 FernUSG:
Students may first terminate their enrollment at the end of the first six months following conclusion of the contract by giving six weeks' notice.
After the first six months, students may terminate their enrollment at any time by giving three months' notice.
For these purposes, the statutory period is calculated from the conclusion of the contract, not automatically from the beginning of regular tuition following the introductory month.
These statutory cancellation rights remain available even when the agreed regular study term is longer.
Students are responsible for tuition attributable to educational services provided until the effective termination date, in accordance with applicable law.
The right to terminate for good cause and any other mandatory statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
8.4 Cancellation by Mutual Agreement
DRAMA understands that personal circumstances and artistic interests may change.
Students who wish to end their studies earlier than their applicable contractual cancellation date may contact us to discuss their situation.
DRAMA may agree to an earlier termination on an individual basis.
Any such arrangement will be confirmed in writing.
8.5 Continuation After the Initial Study Term
After the initial 12-month regular study term, enrollment continues for an indefinite period unless cancelled.
During this subsequent period, students may terminate their enrollment at any time with one month's notice.
No new fixed 12-month commitment is created automatically.
8.6 How to Cancel
Students may submit a cancellation request through the cancellation function provided on the DRAMA website.
Cancellation requests may also be submitted by email to:
Students do not need to provide a reason for an ordinary cancellation.
Cancellation requests will be acknowledged electronically, and students will receive confirmation of the applicable termination date.
Cancellation requests and their effective dates are handled in accordance with applicable law and the contractual arrangements governing enrollment.
9. Statutory Right of Withdrawal and Refunds
9.1 Fourteen-Day Right of Withdrawal
Students who enroll as consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from their contract within 14 days, where applicable.
The withdrawal period generally begins when the contract is concluded, provided that all legally required information has been supplied. Special statutory provisions, including those applicable to distance-learning contracts paid in installments, may affect when the withdrawal period begins.
In the normal course of enrollment at DRAMA, the 14-day withdrawal period falls within the introductory month.
Students may exercise their statutory withdrawal right without providing a reason.
A valid withdrawal terminates the relevant contract in accordance with applicable law.
9.2 Access During the Withdrawal Period
Students can request that DRAMA begin providing educational services immediately after enrollment, before the statutory withdrawal period has expired.
Where the student has expressly requested early performance and has received the legally required information, compensation may be due for services already provided before a valid withdrawal.
Such compensation will be calculated in accordance with applicable consumer-protection law.
No compensation will be charged where the legal requirements for doing so have not been satisfied.
Accessing lessons or other digital educational materials does not, by itself, constitute a waiver of the statutory withdrawal right.
9.3 Refunds Following Withdrawal
If a student exercises a valid statutory withdrawal right, payments will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.
Where lawful compensation is due for educational services already provided, that amount may be deducted from the refund.
Our intention is that students should not pay for unused introductory services following a valid withdrawal, except to the extent that compensation is legally due.
If no compensation is legally payable, the student will receive a full refund.
Refunds will be processed within the applicable statutory period, normally no later than 14 days after receipt of a valid withdrawal declaration.
Refunds are generally made using the original payment method through our authorized payment reseller, FastSpring.
9.4 How to Withdraw
Students may exercise their withdrawal right through the withdrawal function provided on the DRAMA website.
A withdrawal declaration may also be submitted using the communication channels specified in the statutory withdrawal information supplied during checkout.
The withdrawal declaration must clearly identify the contract and the student's intention to withdraw.
No reason is required.
9.5 Additional Information
The statutory withdrawal right and the contractual cancellation options described in Section 8 are separate rights.
Cancellation of future enrollment does not automatically constitute withdrawal from the original contract.
Students receive the applicable statutory withdrawal information as part of the enrollment process.
Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory statutory consumer rights.
10. Intellectual Property
All videos, demonstrations, lessons, assignments, downloadable resources, written materials, graphics, photographs, and other educational content provided by DRAMA remain the intellectual property of Dirk Dzimirsky or the respective rights holders unless otherwise stated.
Enrollment grants students a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access these materials for their own educational use during active enrollment.
Students may not reproduce, redistribute, publish, sell, or commercially distribute protected DRAMA educational materials without prior written permission.
Account sharing is not permitted.
These restrictions do not prevent students from independently applying the drawing techniques and artistic knowledge they have learned to their own artwork.
Unauthorized distribution or misuse of protected materials may result in appropriate legal action.
11. Student Artwork
Students retain ownership and copyright of the artwork they create.
By submitting drawings, photographs, or other materials to DRAMA, students grant permission for those materials to be used within the Atelier for educational purposes.
This includes assignment reviews, drawing critiques, demonstrations, live Study Classes, and educational discussions.
DRAMA will not publish student artwork for external marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes without the student's separate permission.
Any use of student artwork and associated personal information remains subject to applicable data-protection and intellectual-property laws.
12. Atelier Community Standards
DRAMA provides a respectful and professional artistic learning environment.
Students are expected to communicate respectfully with instructors, staff, and fellow students.
Harassment, abusive behavior, discrimination, hate speech, unauthorized distribution of another student's work, and deliberate disruption of educational activities are not permitted.
DRAMA may take appropriate measures to protect the learning environment, including warnings, restrictions on community participation, or termination of enrollment where legally permissible.
Any consequences for tuition payments or refunds will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
13. Access to Educational Content
Enrollment provides access to the educational materials and services included in the student's agreed study program.
Access is personal and may not be shared or transferred.
Students are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Access to enrollment-based educational resources normally ends when enrollment terminates.
Any separate rights associated with previously purchased standalone courses remain subject to the terms applicable to those purchases.
DRAMA uses third-party technology providers to deliver its educational services and makes reasonable efforts to maintain availability and functionality.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances outside DRAMA's reasonable control.
Students retain all applicable statutory rights.
14. Educational Outcomes
DRAMA provides structured instruction, artistic guidance, individual feedback, and an educational environment intended to support artistic development.
Individual results depend on previous experience, consistency of practice, time invested, application of feedback, and personal artistic development.
DRAMA does not guarantee completion of the curriculum within a specific timeframe or achievement of a particular artistic standard.
Testimonials and examples of student progress represent individual experiences rather than guarantees of future results.
DRAMA does not guarantee financial income, employment, commissions, or professional recognition.
15. External Links and Third-Party Services
DRAMA may provide links to external websites, educational resources, suppliers, or third-party services for students' convenience.
These services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
DRAMA is not responsible for the independent content or operation of third-party websites except where responsibility arises under applicable law.
16. Educational Disclaimer and Liability
Educational materials and guidance reflect the artistic methods, professional experience, and judgment of Dirk Dzimirsky and the DRAMA teaching team.
DRAMA makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate, effective, and professionally prepared educational content.
DRAMA remains fully liable for damages arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Liability for injury to life, body, or health caused by negligent breaches of duty remains unrestricted.
In cases of slight negligence involving an essential contractual obligation, liability may be limited to reasonably foreseeable damages typical for the contract, to the extent permitted by law.
Statutory liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded remains unaffected.
17. Applicable Law
These Terms of Enrollment are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Where mandatory consumer-protection provisions in the student's country of habitual residence apply, those protections remain unaffected.
Mandatory provisions governing distance education, digital educational services, withdrawal rights, or contract termination take precedence over conflicting provisions in these Terms.
Payment transactions processed through FastSpring are additionally subject to the applicable terms of the contracting seller as identified during checkout.
18. Changes to These Terms
DRAMA may update these Terms of Enrollment to reflect changes in educational services, legal requirements, or business operations.
The current version will be published on the DRAMA website.
Changes ordinarily apply to new enrollments concluded after the updated Terms take effect.
For existing enrollments, contractual changes will take effect only where permitted by applicable law or where the student has validly agreed to them.
Changes do not automatically alter tuition arrangements or contractual rights already agreed with existing students.
